Cute Pug:

I no longer have a Pug for Dogs.
After 2 sadly Pass-away. I now have a Beagle.
Name Jeffrey.

Jeffrey does not have a weight problem.
All the local Vet wanted to do is to get him
on a weight lost program, when he would not eat
food, other then what he wanted.

Obviously, Vets will say that Pugs are adorable.
however, does also have Attitude mood swings.
and impossible to train, after wasting hundreds for a worthless Trainer, which shall remain confidential.

I, therefore, wish everyone that wants a pug, the best of luck.,and I sure hope that their weight will be control.

P.S. both Henry’s were Pugs and had weight problems.
My Beagle name Jeffrey does NOT have a weight Problem.
Manner of fact. my Vet was a maze and pleased.

Thanks for letting me shared,

Otto you are a very handsome pug are you waiting for dinner?
Frank I am sorry for your loss but dogs any breed only eat what they are fed

Frank - Beagles are impossible to train, so wish you lots of luck there. With regard to
weight, perhaps you were at fault with over feeding and not enough exercise! None of my 6 weigh more than 10 kgs [22lbs] - Kibbles are on demand during the day and they all have a hot meal at night. I will admit that we live on a farm and they possibly run between 2 and 4 miles a day helping Dad do his daily work.
Good luck with Jeffrey but remember PUGS RULE

Grannygoogs.

Thanks much, my Beagle actually cooperates very well.
When I asked him not to jump, he does not jump. yet, like small kids, sometimes they forget when they behave badly around company.

I tried to excise my Pugs.and all they did is wanted to lay down cause they were tired.

One day, a Man, whom must had been a vet himself asked me to promise that I would take my darling home.

I feed both Henry;s good food.

As fair as trainer. I tried to get both Pugs to do their business out of doors. and many times in front of me, they were Naughty. I was their, it was not like I was not in the room or not a home.

However, my brother mention that its the owner responsibility. how they train their dog….
He also said that our Mom had problems, until she sadly pass-away, and that is when the first Henry came to live with me.

Obviously. their must be some pugs out their that are cooperating with their training. I also, wish all pugs the best of luck, we all love our 4 legged friends. no manner what the bread is.

My Beagle does not bark, unless, their is someone at the door. otherwise. he is rather quit.

The Pugs that I had. all they did was bark.

Now. my first pug died in front of me from his age.
My 2nd Pug was at a friends while out of town. and at age 18 months, died from the heat with their dogs by his side, but had no way to get air to him.
So, with him barking, one may not leave their 4 legged friends int he hotel rooms by themselves.

My Jeffrey does not like to be left in strange places by himself, but like the my late puts. is very cooperative with the vet.

One again. I wish all those Pug loves the best of luck, and I thank you for letting me share my story. and letting you know, that I gave up on pug. but, love my beagle. and too me. a well behave dog regardless of their bread makes our busy lives easier.

p.s. my friend wife ran my 2nd friend to the Emergency Room after hurting himself. and when they got home. their sons was wondering what is wrong with the dogs. went into their kitchen, and found my Pug dead. obviously made the kids very upset. and finally got over it after a couple of days with good sleep.

Also, Pugs braving is a problem. they must have enough air. and in the summer time, that is impossible. so, we can be anywhere in the USA, i.e. Twin Cities heat in our summer. or Perth Heat when they have their summer.

So, that being said, Please, be very careful with the heat when one has a pug. like us, they must have air and water. and the summer heat makes it impossible for walks. through the mid summer it’s 80 by 9 am.

Thank you.

Sue, you’re Absolutely Correct when it comes to Pugs. however, loving my late Mom and her Pug. both Henry’s sadly pass-away. and after-words, I did do some reading on Pugs. and decline buying a third Pug. now I have a Beagle, and a person debated how Beagle are hard or impossible to Train. when my Sweet-hart with a few mistakes, but as he got out of being a puppy, he is really good. and obviously glad to see me. so, that being said. when one says that Beagles are hard to train when it’s impossible to make pugs do their business out doors with-out being naughty indoors in front of you. Therefore, my Brother blames the owner of the dog regardless of the bread on how she or he behaves. Thanks again Sue..

Okay, I almost didn’t see Otto what with the darling little girl sitting there with him.  Young lady, you are one lucky little girl to have such a cool friend that Otto so obviously is.

Frank, I don’t pretend to know all the facts.  I have raised beagles when I was younger, as pets, not for hunting.  They are some of the most lovable dogs around.  They can also be VERY mischevious.  I had trouble training them, but I don’t have anything bad to say about them except they tend to be(in my experience) a little un-faithful.  My pug, Dolly is the only one I have ever had the honor to be befriended by and she is my life and soooo faithful to a fault if that’s possible.  Without a doubt the very best and finest dog, of many, that I’ve ever known.
We did not seek her out she came to us, yes she is a rescue/stray if you can believe anyone would let a pug be a stray and she will over eat if you let her, I also had some pretty fat beagles.  She has dropped from 23 lbs to a trim and healthier looking 17 lbs.
She’s happier and so are my wife and I.
Best of luck with your beagle Frank, they do make great pets with proper handling.
