I wish to thank all of you for your comments and lovely thoughts about Opie. My mom always told me that people that love animals are the best. I know we all have to go through this, but it is just painful. I don’t have any human children, so my dogs and cats are just as important to me as children. I love them very much. Opie was a good boy and he had a good life and I am glad he chose us to come and live with when he was a baby. Lots of great memories! Thank you again, and hug all of your babies for me and Coco!
Otto - you epitomize the legend that is ‘Black is Beautiful’ - there is something so special about Black Pugs, their smile is so noticeable, those crooked white teeth!! all needing Orthodontists care!!
I think I will come back in my life either as a Pug owned by me or as an Orthodontist!! Make a fortune BUT no charge to Pugs, just other dogs!

Dear Jill - I know how you feel - I have a wondeful son, a daughter-in-law and to stunning Granddaugters, BUT they live 7000 miles away from me and only see them twice a year.
So my ‘Lonehill 6’ are the children who kiss and cuddle when I am sad and lonely. They know my moods and react accordingly, someimes they will love almost too much and other times they will do their ‘silly clown act’ that makes me laugh.

otto you are so very handsome. Jill, it is difficult when our beloved pets have to leave us. It is exactly like loosing a family member of the human variety. Just a heads up-took Daisey & Solsie for Vet exam & shots-little miss Solsie had an allergic reaction-shortness of breathe,eyes glazed over, tongue almost white-thanks to the vet & techs they got her quickly and reversed the reaction. Very thankful for their immediate care! Just be aware this can and does happen. pug hugs from pastor sue & the colorado
