We are on pug time. Relaxing from all the hard work of relaxing. Be a friend of a pug today-heaven is just a step away

So sweetly snuggly!

Wayne, I love your concept: pug-time!  Also, that would be a great motto for a pug rescue group.
“Be a friend of a pug today-Heaven is just a step away.”  It’s beautiful!

Oh Martha, you are right…that would make a perfect motto for a pug rescue group.  Good going Wayne!

Oh Wayne (and everyone else):  I love this saying….It’s so beautiful!

Huckle:  I would like so much to see a picture of the “Swamp Pugs”...and how many of them are there..

Grannygoogs:  Are your hands full with the new pugs?  I haven’t “seen” you the last couple days

Wayne:  How many pugs are you owned by?

Phoebe:  “I’m ready to play if you are…”

Henry:  ” I need my couch time….there is no way you will entice me to move unless… there is a treat in your hand.”

Robin, there are only three Swamp Pugs…I want MORE!  When the Lonehill 6 becomes the Lonehill 8, I am packing my bags for South Africa and a little reconnaissance mission because I want more and know where there are some! wink  In signing off, I sometimes say the Swamp Pugs and Cooper2 (who is a Boxer) but he doesn’t always get on our good side hence no mentioning a lot of the time.

Huckle my friend,  did you see Grannygoogs post…the 2 puggies died….poor Grannygoogs is heartbroken.

There is something really eating away at me…why are they called “Swamp Pugs?”  What are their names?  How about adding a new pug every now and then?  Still, I have none…..so I must live vicariously through the experiences you all share with your beloved puggies.

Robin, no I hadn’t seen GGs comment about the puppies.  I am just sick about it because GG in her mind already they were hers.  Thank you for telling me.  I’m gonna have to go and tell GG why I was saying about Lonehill 8 what I did.  That poor soul.  She really needed to have those babies.

Ok since you asked.  The Swamp Pugs were so named because in this corner of Ohio there was the great black swamp, a dark and murky place that even the native Americans wouldn’t venture in.  Every year Bowling Green hosts The Black Swamp festival that brings around 30,000 people in to town.  At any rate, it just popped into my head to call the pugs The Swamp Pugs.

Two of them are a rescue bonded pair. They are Gracie and Georgie and are black and five.  Abby (she’s 7), the fawn was the first pug I ever had.  She’s a curmudgeon with no thought of changing.

I absolutely cannot get a picture in the pug gallery no matter what I try.  I installed Picasa and maybe that will let me.

I like your idea of getting pugs here and there.  Hmmm, I trying to think how I could accomplish that.

Thanks for your interest and now you can be at peace! wink

Hi Huckle,

Thanks for responding….2 black and a fawn…lucky you.  Many years ago, but while I was living in this apartment, I pugsat for a friend of mine (who was more than happy to loan me his black pug named “Gertie.”  She was a beautiful little black pug.  I would lie down on a hot day with the air conditioning on…and Gertie would jump up on me and lie down on top of me…and gaze at me straight in the eyes..so funny!  However, if I turned on the Animal Planet Channel- Gertie would literally forget me and become mesmerized by it!

Grannygoogs responded about her bad news on the Paisley page…so that perhaps is the reason you didn’t see it.

All (my personal pugs)..totalling four: 2 at different times and 2 at the same time , were fawn and male….however, I am quite enamored of female pugs since the time I pugsat Gertie!!

Pug hugs and kissies to the swamp pugs…may they long bring you joy!
