What a happy smiling cutie pie!  Made my day!

Once upon a pug-time there lived a black puggie named Riley.  He was a good, solid puggie, always happy….always smiling….and always begging for more…(food that is!)  Riley was owned by humans who loved him…and this made Riley feel very loved….and he smiled even more when he thought about his dear humans….BUT not as much as he smiled when the food bowl was placed in front of him….but of course… everyone nows how it is with a pug and their food!!
  One day Riley’s human looked at him and said…“Oh my dear little Riley…..What more can I do to make you happy?”........And Riley just walked over and immediately smothered his human with pug kisses….....which no human can ever get enough of!  Well, after taking some time and deep thought….his human said “I know just the thing that will make my dear Riley happy!”,,,,and with that…the human kissed Riley on top of his silky little head….and went out for awhile leaving Riley to sleep and snore….(another one of Riley’s much loved pastimes.)  And it must be mentioned here that someone had left out a jelly donut that day….all full of jam and covered in powdered sugar….And of course Riley ..being a pug….had been watching his human eat sugared donuts…and of course..Riley coveted food and was sure if he could get even a taste….he would enjoy it….
    Well now….a few hours had passed, and Riley being the smart and adventurous pug he was,,,,had managed to jump upon a chair and smother his muzzle into that donut…“Oh My he thought….sugared donuts are delicious….just as good as milk bones”  .......But…...what Riley didn’t notice was that after devouring said donut…there was still powdered sugar clinging ever so lightly to that little black muzzle!
  The keys turned in the lock…and in walked their human with several very large bags….announcing “Dear Riley,  I am home and I have brought you presents!”  Reaching their arms into the bag, the human pulled out 10 really large pillows in all different shades and colors…some tapestry…some brocade…“Now my little Riley”..his human announced…“We are going to put a nice pillow in every room so that you will always have a comforting spot upon which to lay!
    Riley was quite beside himself….and smiled because he knew that being a pug…he did deserve to be spoiled rotten!  As his human walked from room to room in the house placing a nice puffy pillow in a spot that would catch some sunlight…Riley trotted nicely at his humans feet and into each room where a pillow was placed…Riley would carefully settle himself on the pillow just to be sure that it was to his liking….and of course it was.
  “Now my little Riley…give me a proper kiss….and Riley immediately complied….BUT…now his human noticed something white clinging to Riley’s soft, whiskered muzzle…and said..“Oh my…what have you gotten into??”  She carefully brushed off the muzzle and smelled the white powdery stuff…and said “This smells like sugar”....but Riley just smiled and smiled and smiled.  And in fact…the whole day passed and Riley WAS NOT found out! 
So…remember….when you see a smiling pug…somewhere there may lay evidence of a “pug crime”......like an empty donut box…..and a sugared muzzle
