I was so enraptured by the look on Sophie’s face (priceless) that I didn’t at first see Stink.  Is that really his name?  Great picture!

Hi Sweet Sophie and Sweet Stink,
Well, I love your name, Sophie, but Stink, I would have called you Sweetie.  Just sayin!.

Stink - if I was you, I would be totally pee’off, Pugs [VIP] need stunning names and not ugly!! ones!!! Our First Rescue Pug came to us with no name, no age, no history,  in fact , no nothing, she was so traumatized, and we called her Fudge, she was quite old when we adopted her and initially she was very ‘Ma-Vas’ [mother tight] so much so, that when I was working in my home office, she would get between me and the electric heater, she landed up looking if she had been ‘bar coded’. We had to go down to a meeting to Johannesburg, {I was doing music festivals at that stage] she came with us, however on the way home, the car broke down and we had to be towed to the nearest town. We landed up in the most ‘Afrikaans Kitch’ hotel, We arrived late, not hungry, but needed a drink, Fudgie went round the Bar and the ‘Boys” gave her their steak, eggs and chips. The following morning, Oki went to buy knickers, toothpaste etc for me and he found Fudge in the Hotel Kitchen, being fed the best cuts of beef, bacon and ham. We were lucky to have her for almost 10 years, and we still miss her dreadfully
