For THOR!  You are such a handsome pug and that bandage you’re rockin’ just adds to that boy-pug appeal.  Hope your leg’s feeling all-better, buddy.

Once upon a time there lived a pug name Thor.  Not content to simply lie around and be a couch pug, Thor decided to go in search of his one true love… another puglette that he had seen on his daily walkies!  Now Thor for all his bravado…knew that she lived nearby, but did not know exactly where she lived.  One sunny day while Thor was out sunning himself in his yard, he discovered that the gate was open and decided to seize the opportunity!  He left the security of his lovely garden and took to the high roads in search of his one true love!  Unfortunately for Thor,  he ran into some thorny brambles during his search, and eventually was discovered by his owner who had been searching high and low for him.  When they got home,  his owner carefully cleaned Thor’s hind paw and leg and bandaged it with a specially designed “I love you puggy” bandage”.  Now Thor rests comfortably on the floor, dreaming of his next great escapade while he recovers!

Oh Thor, you are a handsome pug!  I’m so sorry your little leg is bandaged.  I hope you lie around, eat to your hearts content, and heal rapidly!

Thor, you are beautiful and shiny!  I can see you have been to the vet!  Whatever happened to you, make sure your humans take good care of you and feed you whatever you want, carry you around until you are totally healed and make sure they let you sleep close to them in the bed or on the couch, what ever you prefer!  Because you are the mighty Thor!  (and happen to be a gorgeous black pug)!!!

This is our rescue pug, Thor, after his operation. As you might remember from last week when Thor was the Featured Pug of the Day, he had to have his right front leg amputated because it was broken. this is the day after. The little bandage on his hind leg is where the IV was. Thor is doing fine. He has his stitches removed and is as good as new. Our vet says that all dogs are three legged with a spare. Thor just lost his spare. We love the little guy.

OMG!  I was taken by his shiny cuteness (I have a black pug - so I’m a little partial.) that I didn’t even notice.  THOR - I just know you’ll do fine with those muscular little pug-legs and pugs are cuddle-babies anyway - Bless your heart, buddy.  It sounds like your rescuers will be seeing to your happy recovery.

Volker, I feel bad I didn’t remember about Thor, but as soon as I saw your name, it dawned on me he was to have his leg amputated.  He is still a gorgeous pug and always will be.

Thank you Volker for saving this precious baby and giving him a loving home, and making him healthy again.

Volker, thank you for taking care of this little guy.  My Coco is a black pug and a rescue pug and I don’t know what I would do without her.  There is just something about a rescue, like they know and and are so happy to be with you.  Bless you both with many, many pug years together!
