Every weekday morning, I drag myself out of bed way earlier than I would like. Benny, Henry & Luna usually follow me from room to room throughout the day, but in the morning, they don’t budge from the bed. Eventually, it comes time for me to make the bed and I have to do one of the things I hate the most, take the pugs out of the bed. Every morning, we do the same thing, but no one ever budges until I pick them up and carry them to the living room. I carry each one into the living room and pile them up on the sofa or on their favorite chair.
The other morning I stacked the gang up on a pile of pillows. They really liked having their pillow booster seat.
This weekend, the mornings were a tad chilly for Florida standards. So after, their morning walk, we had a little bit of fun wrapping the pugs up in some blankets to warm them up. Benny thought his ducky might be a little cold as well, so he brought that with him.
Henry was the least cold of the three, but since he isn’t much of a morning person he liked being snuggled all in a blanket and getting a chance to get back to sleep.
Luna had a coat on for the walk, but once we got her back inside we took her coat off and got her wrapped up in a cozy blanket. Benjamin decided to join her to help warm her up even more.
Benjamin, Henry and Luna were out enjoying the afternoon sun the other day and when I looked up from my computer I saw all three snuggled up on the lounge chair. Luckily, my camera was nearby and I was able to snap the shot from my desk.
It might just be me, but they seem to be saying, “Are you off work yet?” I wish pugs, I wish.
Here is Benny having a little pug tantrum. Luna was chewing a bone and a small piece broke off. Once it broke off it was deemed a “choking hazard” so I threw it in the trash. Benny, being Benny, would have none of that and had a little fit. Acting like that was the only bone in the house. The boy cracks me up. Also, Luna pops in to say hello to all the blog readers!
Here is Benny working on his Elvis impersonation. Benny is just such a bag of wrinkles and he has very big jowls that they sometimes get hung up and he just makes the most adorable faces.
When we first adopted Luna, she didn’t really have much bone etiquette. Meaning that if one of the boys was chewing a bone she would just walk up and try to chew the other end. Luna’s thinking was, “Your not using this end, so you shouldn’t mind if I chew it.” This broke all the established rules for Benjamin & Henry, though. So Benjamin showed her that simultaneous bone chewing by 2 pugs on one bone was not OK by growling and showing her his teeth. The funny part was that no matter how hard Benny tried to lift his big jowls, you would never see his teeth. He would try his best to scrunch up his face, but his teeth would never show. It just cracked me up because Benny is just a big softie anyway. He wouldn’t hurt a fly.
I was strolling through Walgreens the other day, when I saw this cute dog bed. At first, I was a little taken off guard because I didn’t expect Walgreens to have such a cool dog bed. But after I looked at it for awhile, I just knew that the boys and Luna would love this new bed. It didn’t matter that they needed this bed like I needed a hole in my head. The pugs already have about 5 or 6 nice pillow beds. But, this bed was wasn’t your typical pillow bed, it had sides and I just thought they would like that for a change. And for $10, I just couldn’t resist it. So, of course, I bought the bed.
As soon as I put the bed down on the floor, the pugs didn’t disappoint. Benjamin immediately jumped in and made himself comfortable.
As soon as Benjamin left the bed, Henry jumped right in and tried it out for himself.
The next morning, I noticed that Henry was lounging in the bed again. Ben, however, wanted Henry to make room for him too, so he squeezed in as much as he could.
