Benny & Henry posing by the mums. Perhaps this is their belated Mother's day gift for me?
I always thought mums were fall flowers, but we planted these a few years ago and they bloom every spring and fall. I'm not very knowledgable when it comes to flowers so it was a pleasant surprise for me.

Henry was his cool, laid back self for Amanda. He did an awesome job listening and posing for Amanda. I felt so bad for Henry though because he was very squinty. The sun was way to bright for his sensitive eyes.
Like a true super model, he took it all in stride and struck his best poses and did his very best. He is not going to let a little bright sunshine come between him and treats.
I had the highest expectations for Henry because he is the best listener of the three and he did not disappoint! He's a good boy!

Geez, Hank. I haven't even sat down to eat yet, and you are already giving me those pleading eyes. Can I at least have a few bites of my salad before you make me feel guilty?
Have a great weekend!

This was the sight on Sunday morning. As you can tell, neither Henry nor Luna have big plans for the day.

Today, Henry joins Benny in turning the big 1-0!
Henry has always been a laid back sorta guy. Never as hyper as Benny, but still always up for an adventure. Ever since he was a pup, he was never one to stay on the beaten path. He always wants to go off and explore. After all you don't find gum, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and other snacks on the path.

Happy Birthday, Henry!

Benny's birthday inspired us to take a trip down memory lane and look at some of the pictures of the boys when they were pups. When we came across this picture we were beside ourselves with laughter.
When we lived in MD, we frequently went to G-Ma & G-Pa's house. G-Ma always had new toys and treats each time the pugs came to visit. One time, she was so excited because she got the pugs a small, blow up pool that she thought would be a perfect way for the pugs to cool off a bit after they got done chasing each other around the tree. She thought it would be great because the pugs would be able to jump in and out, splash around and keep cool.
When we arrived we headed out to the yard and she proceeded to get the pool out of the packaging and blow it up. Well, we were all in stitches when the awesome pool turned out to only be about 12 inches in diameter. A closer look at the packaging revealed that it was some sort of Barbie Doll pool.
The boys were still super excited that G-Ma had gotten them a new toy. To them, it was the best outdoor water bowl they ever had!

Henry likes to remind Benny from time to time that he isn't the only pillow lover in the house.
