This morning, the little girl went in to get her teeth cleaned. I absolutely hate having them have any type of procedure that requires them to be sedated, but as the doctor let us know it is really in her best interest to keep her teeth as clean and healthy as possible. So we dropped her off this morning without her breakfast. She was most upset about not getting her breakfast. And, as far as she knows, Benjamin, Henry & Cupid are starving right along with her today. We waited to feed them until after Luna left.
So, I am off to worry and work. I can’t wait until this afternoon when I can pick that little rugrat up.
Update: Luna is out of surgery. She is slowly waking up. We can pick her up late this afternoon.
To me, Labor Day has always been the last hurrah for summer. So of course, I have thoughts of the beach on my mind this for this long holiday break. I think it will be a tad too hot to take the pugs to the beach this weekend, but here are two beach posts from cooler months. The first is, The Beach and is from January 2006, about a few days before we adopted Luna. The second post, Running on the beach is from February 2006 and is Luna’s first trip to the beach with us.
The pugs were enjoying the last little bit of sunshine before a summer storm rolled in when I snapped these pics. All three of them were squinting their eyes and soaking up the rays. After I got the pictures uploaded to my computer, I thought they sure do look like a cranky group. Did I forget dinner or something?
Also, notice Benjamin has brought Puffy out in the yard with him. He always like to bring Puffy out in the afternoons. Too bad he isn’t quite as good at remembering to bring Puffy in in the afternoons. That furry little disk is like a fourth pug I need to watch after.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! And for those in the U.S. Happy Labor Day.
This is just classic Baby Benny. He plays hard and relaxes like no other. There is no in between with him. He is either on the go or he is passed out. It’s just what makes him Benny!
Luna is a hoot when she catches a smell of something that she would like to claim as her own. She almost always paws at the spot and then flips herself on her back so she can rub her neck all over it. She’ll do this on the grass, the sidewalk and as you will see in the video the rocks in the garden. She especially loves to roll all over dried worms on the sidewalk. I’m not exactly sure what that is all about.
I have been trying to get a video of Luna rolling all around for some time now. This clip is short, she usually spends a lot more time wiggling around, but it gives you an idea of how she just flips herself to the ground.
