Benjamin

Henry
Here are some shots of the boys when they were around 10 weeks old (they are now 3). Looking back, I just can’t believe they were ever that small. I have a lot of pictures of the boys as puppies, but unfortunately none of them are digital. Some time, when I have some time on my hands, I will have to scan in all of their puppy photos. If only I had a digital camera when they were pups!

I am very pleased to say that the first annual OwnedByPugs.com 2006 Calendar Contest is going very well. So far we have received 265 submissions! All of the pictures submitted are wonderful and designing the calendar with so many great pictures to choose from is going to be a hard task!
BUT, with 2 more weeks left to submit pictures, there is plenty of time to send in more pictures and we look forward to receiving more adorable pug pictures. Remember, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the Calendar will go to benefit the Maryland Pug Rescue.
Thanks to all who have submitted pictures already and keep the picture rolling in!

Last night was a pretty nice night outside, so we decided to go out for ice cream. They boys came and patiently waited for their very own cup of Caramel custard. Needless to say, they loved it! Afterwards, Benny (who loves to lick) had the cutest “cake batter” smelling breath.

Benjamin & Henry took some time today to enjoy the sun on their favorite lounge chair. Sunning themselves is one of their favorite things to do and they make time for it every morning. Henry almost always lays down as soon as he gets on the chair, but Benjamin likes to look around for a little bit. But, as you can see from his big yawn, it’s usually not long until he settles down for a little nap.

Benjamin has always liked to scratch before he settles down for a nap so we keep a towel on his pillow. This way he can flip the towel around and get is just right before he finally plops himself down. The other day he was paticularly restless and having a hard time getting his towel arranged just right. When he finally settled down he was wearing the towel instead of sleeping on it.

Weekdays, while on my lunch, I always try to do something fun with the boys to help break up their day and get them some exercise. Ideally, I like to take them for a walk, but since the it has been so hot and humid outside that is really out of the question. But, the other day the weather was nice and I thought that we could go for a small walk. Turns out that Henry had other plans! As soon as we went outside, Henry found a sunny spot in the yard and wouldn’t budge. So instead of walking we just sat in the front yard and soaked up the rays.

The vet called about an hour ago to let us know that Cupid is out of surgery and that they were able to successfully remove the stone. I think we are all feeling better and I know that everyone will be doing a lot better as soon as we pickup our little girl this evening.
