“If I sit here, she will open it, if I sit here she will open it.” Worked for Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams. I’m definitely giving it a shot!

Love it Benny! Love your wrinkles baby!

Another 90 degree day here in Omaha. I shouldn’t complain but I’m definitely a cold weather girl so this is painful for me. Ugh. smile

What an adorable picture. Too cute… my crew won’t eat bananas at all. Love the look on Benny’s face.

Huckle

Every time I see Benny’s wrinkly face, I laugh.  He is such a heartwarmer and a stud puggy.  That’s one way to decorate a table.

Martha - groan.  Lol.

My gosh, Georgie bit me today!  I did what I shouldn’t have done and tried to get Georgie and Abby apart from their disagreement over a treat I was giving Abby after her eye treatment.  She wanted nothing to do with the treat - and not being one to throw things out - I offered it to Georgie.  Yes, I realize that was dumb.  Wanted or not, it was still Abby’s even if it was in Georgie’s stomach.  “Too soon dumb, too late smart.”  She went after him, he reacted in typical male fashion, and I have a couple of teeth marks.  Gracie just sat and watched the whole thing.

Oh Huckle. I’m so sorry you got bit. Silly pugs. Sometimes your instinct takes over. I would have done the exact same thing. I hope it feels better soon!.

GINA:  Greetings from Iowa and another who responds much better to colder weather.  My car thermometer said:  101 (since I was dumb enough to check - just made me hotter).  Got to remember to refill my bird baths when I get home - saw a few poor birdies bathing in warm mud water for lack of anything better.
They’re promising a return to the 70’s by Thursday, Friday.  Feels like the beginning of a long, hot summer though.

Huckle, feel better quickly.  It always amazes me how a sweet laid back pug can suddenly turn.

Hi there - about the bite and the squabble over treats - here’s a characteristic of Kingsley, my love pug.
I will throw a Milk Bone down to him, he’ll sniff at it but not go for it.  Then he’ll look at me as if to challenge me to take it, head still, eyes on bone, then up at me, then down to bone…..
I’ll slowly put my hand toward the Milk Bone, Kingsley’s head will lower, eyes fixated on me, closer and closer - until I’m too close and SUDDENLY Kingsley snatches the Milk Bone up!  It was all a game - he didn’t really want it until I threatened to take it!
Soooooo cute - they have such personality!

Bananas have no lips *Mmm*
Bananas split!
Bananas unite!
Peel - peel, peel, peel banana
Peel - peel, peel, peel banana
You lean to the left
You lean to the right
You peel your banana
And *UGH* you take a bite!
Go bananas! Go, go bananas!!

Huckle

Kat - Cute story.  Good thing we humans have a sense of humor.

Oh Stacey, you’ve been out in the sun too long.  LOL

Gina

06/07/2011

Mary C! I had to fill the bird baths too! Then I had the sprinkler going and the birds were loving it! My car said it was 107 around noon today. Holy crow! Definitely liking the expected cool down! And I dislike bugs and spiders and the like. We have spiders the size of small puppies in our garage. I told my husband one barked at me and he told me to throw it a milk bone!!! smile

Kat~that is hilarious! Thanks for the laugh!

And Stacey, I agree with Huckle, you have been in the sun too long. smile

Aw, Benny, I certainly hope you’ve gotten your nana peeled by now!!!

Stacey, I third that, hope you’re in out of the sun:)!

Abby refuses fresh bananas, but at Milwaukee Pugfest last month, we picked up a sample of Dogswell Vitality with chicken and banana (a dried treat) that has vitamins, flax, etc. and she was in love with it, so I bought her a bag, so neener neener Abby, you’re eating Banana’s:)  It’s her special treat she gets every night after the eye med now.

“Okay.  There is the banana, but I seem to be three scoops of ice cream and some toppings away from a split.  What should we do about that?  Hmmmmmm?”.

Elizabeth

Umm, I just wonder if Mom would mind if I decide to peel the beautiful yellow banana…I could just play with it and push it around on the floor, but I really do like to eat bananas…umm…Oh, what the heck,  I will soon find out!  Banana, here I come!
I happen to know that is what my MIni-Cooper would do.  He loves bananas, and of course, carrots, peppers, lettuce, tomatoes, everything FOOD.

Pug hugs to you sweet Beny.  You are a sweet boy.

Elizabeth and Mini-Cooper~

Huckle,  I knew someone was going to get hurt!!!  I hope it heals fast… Georgie is getting a little rambunctious, now, isn’t he.  My Cooper used to bite me to pieces when he was a baby, but no more.  Now he likes to get his belly rubbed and just loves to be petted and fussed over.
Talk soon,
Elizabeth~
