Checkup

Luna

Luna had an eye checkup yesterday and received a very good report. Her eyes are holding steady, which for Luna is great news. The tear production in her bad eye was even up a bit from her last visit.

Not only did she get a great report, but she was a really good girl at her appointment. She got to meet a few dogs and she was a very good girl while having her eyes examined.

After the long car ride there, the excitement of the visit and then the long car ride back home, as soon as we got home, Luna plopped down in her puff pillow and sawed logs for the rest of the afternoon.

Congratulations Corrine on such a great report.  After all it is your dedication to Luna’s eyes that keep the reports on the good side, along with the vet’s spot on for meds.

Looney, you definitely do look pretty in pink, and you are such a good baby.

Oh Looney I love you so! You are so adorable! I’m so happy to hear your eyes are doing well! I agree with Sue VDB ~ Great job Corrine! I remember your post showing all the different eye meds and how often she needs them and the chart you made. That does not look easy. So awesome job!!!

I also agree with pug mama….a picture of Looney sawing logs is always a good one!

Luna may be a beautiful ball of energy, but deep down she is still a pug!  And we all know that pugs can’t miss out on their day of naps and not have to pay with saw logging!  *smooches Luna Love*

Good going Looney.  You are such a little doll anyway, but to color coordinate your tongue and your Puppia - now that’s Style.

Luna, that is great news!!!! My little Rosie lost the battle with her right eye two weeks ago. We tried everything, and just couldn’t get it to improve. An ulcer was her final straw. She has the cutest little permanent wink now. But on a brighter note her left eye tear production was way up, go figure!

For those of you not familiar with Rosie, she was already blind in both eyes when we adopted her from Compassionate Pug Rescue. She is super happy and could care less that she is missing an eye now. I love her so much!

Krissy, so sorry to hear Rosie had to lose an eye, but I love your upbeat attitude, and Rosie doesn’t mind at all, so all is well.  Pug hugs to your baby.

That she is the most wonderful thing!!! She’s 5…...she had puppies with our Beau and had 4.They all went to great homes that we keep in touch with. She is the laziest but i love her that way!!! Her favorite treats are denta stix and i call them the toothbrushes!!! We have 4 dogs…2 pugs, 1 frenchi, 1 maltese and 3 cats…...2 were ours and 1 just came along for the ride and joined the pack!!!

And i forgot to say…..her tongue is truly 3 times larger then it should be…...She has a hard time eating!!!! and when she had the puppies the vet was concerned she might hurt them with it!!! But she was a very good mom and i helped her all along!!!!! That was 3 years ago….but the tongue is definately the focal point of her!!!!

OK!!!!! Have it figured out AGAIN!!! The page with the daily pug picture is dated the 10th and has been for a few days. In my e-mails the date shows as 3-10!!
This means that I donot see the date of today but the date of 3-10. Since I save all mine it over rides the dates before today.

For those of you with Puggie eye problems, let me tell you this.  The other day I told my husband that Abby’s eyes looked really good, very liquidy dark brown without any of that other brown from dry eyes.  He said he was thinking the same because there is such a noticeable difference in her eyes.  Then I read that one of the positives to do for is feed a high quality food, Omega 3 oils and salmon 1-2 times a week.  More than a month ago I switched from Blue Buffalo to Wellness (whitefish and sweet potatoes).  The Wellness was already infused with Omega 3 (and 6, I think) and the salmon was no problem (they love it!)  I am wondering if the food was responsible for the visual difference in her eyes? so I’m passing this along.

Huckle, I’m sold on Wellness dog food.
