Helpers

Benjamin, Henry and Luna

We have been doing a lot of yard work lately and since the weather has been so nice the pugs have been "helping" us.

So they can help and we can have our hands free, we use 15' leashes and hook them to a stake in the ground. We setup some towels and a bowl a water near the front door so that they can have shade when they want it but they can also get a little sun.

When we first go out into the yard, they start out full steam ahead, sitting in the sun. But, after about 15 minutes of watching us work they have retreated back to the shade.

By about the half hour mark, I even heard Benny snoring.

In the first picture I noticed that Luna doesn’t look too impressed with the goings on despite her brothers’ interest.  But how do they not get tangled up?  BTW, are you guys into another 500 bags of mulch to distribute? (Groan)

I am with Benny, after half an hour of working around the yard, you would find me in a lawn chair, taking a break, and snoring!!!
We are getting snow flurries as I write this post, but it is suppose to change to rain later…sigh….

“We’re bored”. That seems to be the consensus in the last picture.

I love the looks on their faces in the first one. And then I love how they are all crowded together on the same blanket in the last one. I think it shows how much they all love each other. Great pics.

The weather here is nice. It smells like Spring. A little sunshine today. Might be a zoo day. smile

Looks like they got their part of the work done, now it’s time to watch the humans-bet they are wondering why it takes us humans soooo long to do yard work! We hit 40 yesterday- a tropical heat wave here in the Colorado mountains! However, it’s snowing today! Catch a few rays for us sweeties! Pug-hugs from the Colorado 5

Just had to come back and look at the gang again.  A story told in two pictures.

On a side note, my check card got hacked the second time in a year.  Brenda and Associations of Aventura, Florida charged by account $4.93.  In research I cannot find exactly what they represent but they have hacked a lot of cards and evidently use phone numbers that have been disconnected.  Not a huge amount, but if done enough times, could add up.  Plus, if someone doesn’t watch their account closely (thank goodness for online banking that I check every day) they could hack a lot more.

Hi ALL!  For some reason I was not receiving the OPB newsletter. Did go on Facebok and follow for a few days. So happy to be back!

The gang enjoys yard work like Grannie does. Waiting from afar, sleeping in the shade is one smart move.

Oh Sue VDB, how awful.  Is there any remedy for this for you?  We all live in fear of things like that and if they do enough of it for small amounts that aren’t always noticed right away, their “take” could really add up.  Have you any clues and what do you do now?

Huckle, the first time it happened it was for two purchases from London in the amount of $700.  The bank called me because they thought it was suspicious and they cancelled my check card.  It took a week to get another one and then I had to contact everyone who was authorized to make deductions.  One transaction was immediately cancelled because the merchant had not processed it, but it took almost a month to get the other charge removed because the merchant had processed it immediately, so I was out almost $300 until it was cleared, which could cause someone hardhip This time was only for a very small amount and was in the U.S., so it didn’t raise any red flags.  Again, my card was cancelled, but my bank initiated a new policy about a month ago…go to your local branch and they cut a new card immediately, which was great.  But once again I had to contact everyone who has authority to make deductions and give them my new information. It causes a lot of work, especially when you call and get voice mail and can’t or won’t leave that informaton, just have them call you back.  Very time consuming.  So if anyone sees Brenda and Associates on their bank statement - beware!

sue s, you’re welcome.  Even though it’s not pug related, this info needs to be passed on so people will be on the alert.  Thank you Corrine for allowing us to post this type of info on your blog.

Isn’t it funny, that although they could each have their own towel, they all chose to share one?

Sue VDB I just read what you wrote to Huckle and the same thing happened to my sister a month ago and the purchases were in London for 500.oo one didn’t go through but her bank called her also about the purchases it took her awhile to get it all straightened out

if you use a debit card with the VISA logo, never ever use it as a debit transaction with your pin, always use it as a credit card, because then it is protected under the same standards of VISA for unauthorized transactions.  Get your cash from the ATM at your bank, and try at all costs to avoid using it as a debit, just so you can get a little cash back at the grocery store.  If you use it as a debit, you may be out that money if they cannot prove that it was fraud.

sue, thank you for your sister’s story.  I’m sorry it happened to her, but it helpa ro know that I am not the only one.  pug mama I never use my card as a debit purchase…too many ifs involved.

Roberta

If I use my debit card as a debit card my bank charges me a fee….but if i use it as a credit card there is no fee….so i never use it as debit.
