I Love Florida Winters

Benjamin, Henry & Luna

Yesterday was a long day and after work I went out in the yard to just chill with the pugs in the yard and take some pictures of my favorite subjects.  That’s when it hit me.  It was December and I was contemplating putting on shorts because it got up to 82 degrees.  Granted, everyday isn’t this warm, and we have been having some cold weather lately (by Florida standards), but it sure is nice to be able to hang with the pugs in the yard and not freeze!

What’s the weather like in your parts?

Three little pugs soaking up the warm weaher.  Some snow on the grouhd in Kansas City, Kansas, temps supposed to get into the upper 30’s today, but more snow tomorrow. Romeo and I don’t like cold weather - AT ALL.

We’re jealous over here, we’ve got cold temps and snow here in Maine.

Be glad of warm weather, we’ve packed away our shorts and now wear long johns most of the time.

I would love to sit in a sunbeam with the pugs! It was 80 in Jacksonville yesterday. Any other time than December I am ok with it but it sure does not feel like the holidays (having bought into the whole white Christmas cliche). Hugs to your babies! They never fail to make me smile!

Here in southeastern Wisconsin, the high today should be 22, with windchills around +5°. Tuesday we were “blessed” with 8 inches of heavy wet snow. Sadie our 4 month old pug is having some difficulty with housetraining. She finds it much warmer and more convenient to potty in the nice warm house. ugh. (bare feet and pug poo in the middle of the night are NOT a good thing, no matter how cute the pug is.)
Thanks for the great blog! I love the pictures every day.

Cold!  Teens this morning (Michigan).  Henry braves the temps, but our half-pug Mary Abigail may show up on your doorstep one day, to spend the winter!

North Texas is sunny but cold!  I used to live in Florida, and although at first it was hard to get used to those warm Christmases, now I miss them!

And Bennie is such a baby in cold weather, I just don’t know how he’d handle it if we moved back north!  I think he’d rather be a Florida pug and join your three on that bench.

Soooooooooooooooo envious…Here in Lil’ ol’ RI, it is cold and we are having heavy rains…Granted, I would much prefer the rain to snow, but Baxter and Riley would prefer the sun in OBP land!

Here in Fort Worth it’s been cold…but by Sunday it will be back to the low 70’s.  Sleighbelle gets her potty business down fast right now!

26 degrees, but feels like 21 degrees. Snow on the ground…and grey sky.  Top it off with getting dark at 4:30pm!  Want to visit????

Here in Nebraska it has been anywhere from 20 to 40 degrees for a high.  I’m definitely praying for a white Christmas, especially if it is going to be cold!  However, I can remember last year trying to potty train Abbey!  I’d carry her out in my coat, stomp down a little area of snow, and wait while she explored the new white stuff she’d never seen before.  After she was done, I’d put her back in my coat and run up the stairs as fast as I could to get into the warm house.  It’s great now, I just let her out and back in when she scratches at the door.  But, nonetheless, we are envious of such beautiful weather.  Ooooohhhh, what must it be like to go on a walk and not have to bundle up!?!?!

Visalia, California…It’s been a little sunny but cold, 40’s to 50’s.  The sun unfortunately brings our ridiculously thick fog to the Central Valley!  Yesterday, on one stretch of the 99 freeway, had 4 pileups within minutes (seconds?) of each other.  I don’t mind the cold, but I HATE the fog!!!

We use potty pads so we don’t find those ugly little poos with our bare toes!  LOL!

SoCal weather is not too far off from FL weather….minus the intense humidity! We’re at 78 this afternoon. But we do have rain predicted for the weekend, and snow in the local mountains. My puggies hit the breaks at the doorway if they see precipitation outside (includes sprinklers). I have to join them outside and try to coax them out from under the patio cover…but most times the boys pee on the bbq and say to heck with getting wet. Fortunately we don’t have too many rain days here!
