National Pet Memorial Day

National Pet Memorial Day

I recently found out that today is National Pet Memorial Day. So, I thought I would post a picture of Solsey today and give an update on the Sol Sunshine Memorial Fund. As of this writing, $2,298.90 has been raised to help support the senior pugs of Central Florida Pug Rescue.

I think that is awesome! To me, Solsey was the perfect example of how to live your golden years to the fullest. I hope her fund helps the senior pugs of CFPR do the same.

None of this could be possible without all the loyal Solsey supporters and the good folks at CFPR. Thank you all for letting Solsey's memory live on in such a positive way!

Also, on a different note, I have extended the deadline for submissions to the 2012 Calendar Contest to September 17, 2011. I'm looking forward to your submissions.

Oh precious Solsey Baby…How wonderful to see that signature pout staring back at me this morning!  You surely exemplified living the good life in the golden years and are an inspiration to us all.  Miss you pretty lady.

In loving memory of my precious Riley…miss you more every day little boy. <3 <3

Corrine, thank you for cluing us in on National Pet Memorial Day.  I am one of those who was not aware of this.  Thank you also for posting a picture of that adorable, precious Sol.  I know you still miss her terribly…as all of us miss her. It is heartwarming to see the Sol Sunshine Memorial Fund thriving to help those adorable seniors.

I too miss my fur babies, but especially Bo Peep.  I do think of her every day, even though she has been at the Rainbow Bridge for 9 years, 8 months.

Good memories of my sweet baby Birdy today as well.  I think she and Solsey are stirring up some trouble together over the rainbow bridge.  Have fun beautiful babies.

It’s always breathtaking when a picture of Solsey shows up on the blog.  I check her memorial fund periodically and reread her bio while the tears come down my face.  If you ever need to cry and can’t get started, that’ll do it.  Our precious baby.  You became so important for us all.

Just me, or does that beautiful black baby resemble baby Benny?  It like a black baby Benny.  Just want to sniff and smooch that face.  Missing Solsey baby right along with you.  Raise the roof and raise the funds for the Seniors.  You always do such an awesome job warming our hearts with pug stories and memories.

I had a pug we rescued from a animal shelter about 13 years ago no one wanted her as some one tried to poke her eye out so she was unable to see. we provided surgery for her and she lived a wonderful and a very happy life with us for almost 13years. She was the love of our life and I found that she gave us so much love that we will never ever forget her . I miss her she passed away 3 week ago. We are dealing with her loss but we will always have part of her here with us always.

Janice, my heart aches for you.  We have all been through that.  Yes, she will always be in your heart…they have a way of ensuring that.  Please take care and know all of us at OBP feel your pain.

Janice I imagine you are still extremely raw from your pug’s passing.  Think how wonderful a home you gave that little sweetheart from the time she went to her forever home to the present.  God bless you and your family.
