Patches

Luna

In addition to her nose job, Luna also got a haircut last week.

Luna

They shaved a big spot on her back so they could inject dye for her CT Scan.

Overall, Luna is doing very well since her surgery. Her breathing is noticeably better. I am really surprised how much she already appears to have benefited from the breathing surgery.

Her shaky legs and troublesome neck appear to be about the same. It is hard to tell if the medicine is making much of a difference at this point. But, we are keeping a close eye on her so that we have lots to report to the neurologist when Luna goes back in a few weeks for her checkup.

I love Luna! I am so glad she is breathing easier, that will come in handy as it warms up for you. I know her skin/coat is a result of mange (right?) but I think it has left such interesting markings. It makes her more of a personality. My prayers are with her that the medicine helps with her shakiness.

Corrine - I am so glad to hear the report on Luna as I wonder eery day how the darlin’ little miss is doing.  Can you tell if she is in pain or is that part of what you giving her medicine for?

Tell Luna she is all the rage now…just like the ‘humaniods’ who have words, signs, etc. etched in their hair.  Maybe she was the one who started the trend in the beginning so this latest one is “just keeping up with the Joneses.”  {I know her original scars aren’t funny but I thought I’d try to lighten it for her.}

Sweet, precious Luna.

Looney you are so beautiful, patches and all!  Big kiss to you sweet girl!  I’m praying that the meds help you.  Baxter has been a little wobbly in the back end past couple of days so now I’m worrying right along with your mommy!  I’m hoping it was just because he was out and about with me a lot this weekend, but I’ve got my momma eyes watching him like a hawk to be sure I don’t need to head back to the neuro.  Praying all of our babies are 100% fine!!!

Karen B - I am so sad to read about all that is going on in your neck of the woods.  Please know you, your family, CJ, Toeby, and your husband’s business partner’s family are all in my thoughts and prayers.  Please keep us updated and know we are here for you!

All pugs I know of who have had this surgery come through with flying colors and almost immediately.  Yay for sweet little Luna.

I wish the same were true of her neurogical problems.  But Luna you are such a little spitfire, you surely will get better.

Heather, sending up prayers for your little Baxter as well as for you.  Please keep us updated.

So good to hear Luna is doing well!  Is it just me or do shaved spots on pugs remind anyone else of “crop circles”??  LOL

Heather, sending good wishes back your way for Bax!
