Spokespugs?

Henry, Benjamin and Luna

OBP Reader Martha, sent a quick not to Nestle, the makers of Libby's pumpkin, to let them know how much Benjamin, Henry & Luna enjoy their product. It doesn't look like there will be any spokesmodel opportunities in the pugs' near future, but it was nice that the good folks at Nestle took the time to respond. Here is what Nestle had to say:

Thank you for contacting Libby's® 100% Pure Pumpkin.

Well gang, I still think you’d make the best spokespugs around!  Pretty cool mom got some coupons, though…more pumpkin for all!!!

I will be having OBP withdrawals for the next week as I travel…Although I know that I will find a way to log on and catch up throughout!  I’ll be thinking of you all!  Pug hugs and love!

Coupons are really nice… but we think the OBP gang would make the most awesomest spokespugs around!!
It was a very nice idea of Martha to send that cute photo to Libby.

Wishing you safe travels Heather.

They are definitely missing out on some great advertising but not having the pugs as spokesmodels! But coupons are nice too.

Have a great trip Heather!

Oops! I meant to say “They are missing out on some great advertising “by” not having the pugs as spokesmodels.”

Silly me. It’s early. smile

Nestle are the real losers for not having the pugs as spokesmodels, but coupons are still nice, and it was sweet of Martha to contact them. How could they resist those adorable faces?

Heather, hope you have a good trip?  Do Baxter and Cole get to go along?

Libby’s sure missed a great opportunity! Could you just hear the new jingle: When it says Libby’s, Libby’s ,Libbys on the label, label, label, your pugs will love it on their table, table, table! Have a safe trip Heather!! Pug-hugs from the Colorado 5

Hi All and thanks for the warm trip wishes!  No, Baxter and Mr. Cole are staying home for some quality “man time” with their daddy…so much fun for them, but momma misses them already!!!  I bring lots of pictures and, yes, I even call to hear some snorts each day!!!

Sue S, love the jingle!!!

Remember when Budweiser used a dog named Spuds McKenzie to advertise?  People loved him!  I know people would love Benny, Henry and Luna even more!  For some reason, Libbys lacks vision….

I know this picture has made me want to buy some Libbys and make some pugkin bread for Bennie.  And some for me, too.

You’d think Libby would at least realize that they have an opportunity to sell pumpkin all year long in pet stores. Before it was available in stores I actually broke down, bought a “Sugar Pie” pumpkin from the local amish market, baked it and pureed it for Lucy and Pen. I thought they loved the canned stuff but they REALLY loved the fresh pumpkin! I’d make a bunch and freeze it but it doesn’t freeze well.

What a loss to Libby….humans are OK spokespessons alot of us puggie owners use thier produsts and doggie (pugs)would get them more sales (epecial if they put the Punkin bread recipe on the back and said it was great for the dogs and people love it also!

WELL!  It’s Libby’s loss for sure!  Spuds McKenzie wasn’t even near as cute as these three!

Yes, Libby’s is missing out big time. Pugs are very popular in commercials right now, I can think of 2 local ones for the DFW area. I’m sure as my mom used to say they could sell snowballs to eskimos. Have a good trip Heather. It is countdown until “gotcha day” for Sir Luke, trying to get arrangements made for this Saturday or Sunday. We are all getting anxious !!!
