Swamped

Benjamin

I know the posts this last week have been short, sweet and to the point. I have a few more in-depth posts planned, but I have been so busy working on the 2011 Calendar that I haven't had time to put them together. So, you might have to settle for a few more days of mainly pictures until I get caught up with the calendar.

Speaking of the 2011 Calendar, I am doing my best to get it to the printer by the end of October. Which means calendars will be available around the middle of November. Once I send the calendar to the printer I will send out an email to everyone with a picture included in the calendar.

I think you know we are quite satisfied with picture posts of the adorable OBP gang, Corrine!!!  Case in point, Benny Baby, if I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, you have delectable wrinkles darlin’...big big smooch to you!!!  So excited for the calendar…and happy to see the update as I was *just* wondering what the status was…It’s customary spot in my office is awaiting its arrival!

Always love the pics, and if the posts are short and sweet… that’s ok too!!  You a busy pug gal!!
Oh my goodness… white hairs on Benny’s chinny chin chin!!  This is an awesome close up!

I haven’t ordered an OBP calendar before… this maybe the year!!

Maybe short, but definitely sweet.  Benny, you look like you are worried about something again.  Maybe you think mom is working too hard on the calendar.  Don’t worry sweetheart, she will get it all together, and maybe pay more attention to you as you think she should.

I have never buried my husband’s cremains since they were returned by the medical center in December, 2001.  Today is the day, which would have been our 49th wedding anniversary.  Fr. Kent is conducting a small service at the cemetery, and Bo Peep’s cremains are being buried with him. Happy anniversary George and Bo Peep celebrate with him.

Oh yeah. The eyes are leaking. Sue VDB Happy Anniversary to you and your forever beloved. With so many sweet angels watching over you, may you find serenity in this day full of joyous memories.

Taj is eaten up with fleas again. Happens every time my sister visits with her dogs. And I used up my last dose of Frontline. Didn’t do a thing. Broke and can’t afford anything, so giving her Brewer’s Yeast and Garlic. *sigh* Hope it does something. Hate seeing my baby girl so miserable. She’s rubbing chunks out of her luscious fur with her rubbing against the cupboards.

There is nothing more precious than a picture of a pug.
I always enjoy your stories, but the pics are great.
Sue, My thoughts and prayers are with you today. I’m sure you have many wonderful memories of George and BoPeep. Minx, is there anything I could do to help you right now?? I would be happy to pay for the Frontline. You could always pay me back later. I really mean it, wouldn’t offer if I didn’t. Thoughts and prayers to all of you.

Aww all my good friends of OBP, and you are good friends even if we have never met, you have really touched my heart with your kindess and wishes.

The service went well, and I really feel at peace and content.  George was buried in a niche in a very lovely spot of the cemetery bordered by trees and bushes…a very peaceful place. I am sure he would be thankful and touched by the good wishes as well.  It has been a good day.

Minx, I am so sorry to hear about Taj.  I too would like to send you money for flea treatment and visit to your vet.  Frontline Plus no longer works on my babies, and my vet told me he has been receiving a lot of complaints from other people about Frontline Plus.  Please give your address to Corrine, and I am certain she will forward it on.  I don’t want Taj to get sick from flea bites like my Jassy did. Please don’t wait, Taj needs help.  Hugs SVDB

I’m on late today but I second everyone’s sentiments Sue VDB and Martha’s comments may help give you peace.  How special that George and BoPeep will rest together in that serenity spot.  This day must have been draining for you.  May you continue on in healing.

Ahhhhhhh, Benny and his lucious squishey wrinkles.  Another picture for my computer room.  It’s the smile factor.

Minx - I’ll help with the flea treatment also.  The thought of Taj having to deal with the itching and irritation makes me sad picturing it.  I would like to help.

The garlic and Brewers Yeast is supposed to work although it may take longer than the Frontline Plus or whatever other you use.  I hadn’t realized that there were problems with Frontline Plus.  It’s what I use but perhaps I’ll have to investigate it.

Please Minx, let us help you. I know you would do the same for one of us. Corrine can give you my e-mail address also.

Sue VDB~ I’m on late as well and want to wish you a Happy Anniversary too. Sounds like the service was nice and so appropriate to have Bo Peep with him. My Mom’s little dog (yorkie) passed away 7 months before my Mom did and we had the dog creamated. When Mom passed, there was no other place to put her little dog but in the casket with her at her feet like she always was in life. Dogs have such a hold of our hearts don’t they?!

Corrine~love your posts too but pictures are enough for me too! I can drink up the pug love when I see those wrinkles.

Minx~I could help too. We don’t want Taj to be uncomfortable.

Pug Hugs to all! Gina & Pip

Pug Hugs to all <3

Minx, I am so sorry your baby has come into contact with the beasties, I hope you will be able to secure the right treatment to make Taj more comfortable.

Sue VDB, how beautiful, what a touching ceremony you had for your George and Bo Peep.  Sorry for being late to stopping in today, I miss having a computer at home so badly:(

Again, everyone, thank you so much for your kindness and well wishes.  It really was a good day.  Not only family and local friends, but all my OBP friends made this day memorable.  I will not forget it.  Hugs, Sue VDB.
