Uncanny

Benjamin

I know this isn't the greatest picture of Benny, but when I saw it it reminded me of a picture of baby elephant seal that I saw on The Guardian. They bear an uncanny resemblance if you ask me.

View Benny's long lost cousin.

BEAUTY may well be all in the eyes of the beholder - but I gotta say, I would LOVE to have the Benster’s wrinkled head resting on my lap.  Don’t know if I could feel the same about the seal.

Benny’s long lost cousin may be cute, but I will take Benny over him anytime.

I’ve looked at seals before and thought they reminded me of pugs.  Which I think is an incredible compliment to seals!

Love that smooshy face that Benny has in his picture ; )

Benny is not only waaaay cuter, I’ll bet his personality is much better too!  Aren’t elephant seals not too nice?

Pat

Jennifer - smoochy and smushy - perfect description, love it.

Benny could use a good ironing, but I do so love all those wrinkles.  Does his face get itchy?  Abby doesn’t have many wrinkles, and Georgie and Gracie don’t either, but they all seem to need “winkle wubs” a lot.  Gracie has mastered the art of getting belly rubs.  One night my husband was giving her her first belly rub, and the next night she got up on his lap, threw herself on her back exposing her tummy, and waited, front paws in the air.  He had a hard time doing it because we were laughing so hard.

Jadey looks like a little black baby seal, with those big eyes and laid back ears!  Just so cute!
After looking at the seal picture again today, I wonder if their wrinkles stink as bas as Jadey’s does after a few days of high humidity.  Phew, she’s a stink-pug lately!  But it means she loves letting me clean her stinkles cause she gets a good itching in!

Great comparison!  Cute!!  We call our Henry a “walrus grub,” having seen the likeness.

I always have to giggle when Bam and ‘B play-fight using their mouths because it looks so much like the walrus fights seen in the nature documentaries on TV.
Very strange the resemblence grin
