Road Trip
Thanksgiving is a big travel holiday, but we decided to take a little trip to Maryland just before the holiday season officially kicked off. We had an important event to attend and thought it would be cool if Benjamin and Henry had a chance to visit where they grew up and it would be awesome to see what Luna thinks of Maryland. So since the pugs were coming with us, the only way were were going to get there was by car.
The boys have made the trip from Maryland to Florida on 4 different occasions, so they are old pros. However, we were a little concerned because they haven't made the trip in a little over 8 years. Luna does great in the car so we weren't worried about the long drive. We were more concerned with how she would handle the weather. Luna thinks that Central Florida is Antarctica and Maryland would be as far North as she has ever traveled.
But the pugs did not disappoint, they did fantastic on the long drive. They slept in the car and did great during pit stops. Their favorite stops were the ones when they ate. We would pop the trunk, get their bowls from the cooler and set them up next to the car. They would chow like they were at home in the kitchen.

Happy Thanksgiving
I know this post is a few days early, but the pugs have decided that they are going to take a little vacation this week. In their eyes it will hardly be a vacation. Thanksgiving is coming and they must plan and ensure that everything goes off without a hitch!
So look for us Monday of next week and Benjamin, Henry and Luna will give you an update on how the big feast went.

Flashback Friday
This picture is from November 2008.
Remember the tree the boys were guarding a few weeks back? Well, this picture was taken the day the crape myrtle was planted.
The pugs were pretty blasé when the tree was being planted, but once it was in the ground they couldn't wait to water it.
I guess all their watering over the years has paid off!

Prime Real Estate
I always wondered why the pugs would perch so precariously on the edge of the bed. They could have an entire king size bed to themselves and they will all be crowded into the bottom corner. (Key words in the last sentence is to themselves. If there are humans in the bed, the pugs are not huddled in one corner, but instead sprawled out in positions that will take up the absolute most room on the bed and make it impossible for anyone else to get comfortable 
)
But, then it dawned on me that that corner on the bed is the only one with an unobstructed view into the living room. That's the spot on the bed that is "ocean front". The rest of the bed can barely be categorized as "ocean view".

Inside Joke
Body in bed, head hanging out of the bed has been Benny's preferred sleeping method for quite some time now. However, I snapped this picture because of the way Luna and Benny are positioned.
If you spend extended amounts of time with Luna you will quickly learn that she is very gassy. The special kidney food she eats gives her the ability to clear any room. Given Benny's proximity to Luna's rump, it appears as though Luna has cut one of her super potent stinkers and Benny has simply passed out from the smell. Seems far fetched, but if you are ever caught downwind of Luna you would know it could happen.
