Sol lets out a little toot almost every time you pick her up. It adds to her old lady charm.

Henry is highly offended by farts and even fart sounds. If you pass gas, he will walk off in a huff and glare at your from across the room. He will even leave if you are petting him. That's how offended he gets.

Benjamin is terrified of sewers. If he comes upon a sewer unexpectedly he will drop to his belly and scrape his nails. He knows where every single sewer is in our neighborhood and stays as far away as possible on each walk. He has been like this since the day we brought him home. In fact, he almost got hit by a car on our very first walk together. He saw a sewer & hit the ground and a car turned a corner and almost hit us both. At first I had no idea why he hit the ground & was trembling in fear, but after a few days I figured out he was afraid of all the sewers in the neighborhood. After he made a mental map of all the drain locations he did a lot better on walks.

Luna eats dried worms. Or at least she tries to when we are not looking.
Well, there you have it. A few pug secrets exposed.

You gotta hand it to her, she is unique. I wouldn't have it any other way.

The pictures aren't the best, but I had to post them to show just how messy of an eater Luna really is. I know we have touched on the subject before, but just look at her placemat. This week's veggie was lima beans and somehow the little girl has managed to get lima beans from one end of the kitchen to the other.

Geez, pugs! If I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times. If you are going to sit on the circle rugs, please sit on the mat underneath your picture. Thanks.

On Friday, Luna went back for her second check-up to make sure the obstructed gland in her eyelid continued to heal.
When we arrived, Luna checked herself in and then chatted up a dog in the waiting room.

It was her turn before we knew it and Luna was a very good girl while her eyes were being examined. Here she is getting a Schirmer Tear Test.

Her tear production was fantastic. She measured 18 mm/60s in one eye and 20 mm/60s in the other eye. This is so much better than several years ago when her one eye wouldn't even register. Also, the extra eye drops we have been giving her cleared up the blockage in the gland in her eyelid. So it was a great report for the lucky girl.
The reward for such a great report? Luna doesn't have to go back for a check-up until January of 2010! Yay!
After all the good news, Luna slept soundly on the way home.

The other day, I noticed that the puff pillow, which Luna has completely claimed as her own, was looking a little flat. So I fluffed it up a bit. Well, that did not sit well with little Luna. She scratched, she circled, she paced all in a desperate attempt to get the puff pillow back into the same exact shape that it was in before the dreaded fluffing occurred.
After a few days of hard work, she was able to re-mold the bed around her body. And there will be no more puff ball fluffing for me.
Have a good weekend!

It's no puffy, but Luna sure does love her little bunny. We bought the bunny with Luna in mind, knowing that she would just love to nibble on on the soft fur on the bunny's belly & face.
She usually seeks out her bunny and plays with it after her evening walk. She chews, nibbles, shakes and flings the little bunny all around the living room.
