New Year’s Resolutions

Henry

Shortly after eating all their Christmas treats Benjamin, Henry & Luna racked their brains and came up with a few things they are willing to work on for a few weeks in January and then forget all about.

The boys have come up with a joint resolution. They have decided to learn more about how screens work. Currently, they are unaware that liquids can pass through screens, so whenever they lift their leg to pee on the screen they are always surprised to find pee pee on the other side. So, the boys are resolved to learning all about how liquids can pass through screens, how to recognize a screen and how to not pee on screens.

Luna

Luna's resolution came to her when we were walking at one of our favorite parks earlier this week. We were strolling along and Luna stopped to smell something in the grass and before we knew it she was rolling around like a wild woman in the grass. When she flipped herself over, she was covered in a yellow-greenish goop. If I wasn't too busy gagging over the smell, I would have taken a picture to share with everyone.

So we hurried home and Luna went straight to the tub for a bath. She wreaked and getting her wet only made her smell worse. Lucky for us, whatever Luna was covered in came off with her regular dog shampoo and with a double wash she was as good as new. But, since the experience required a bath, Luna has resolved not to roll around in crazy smells she finds on the grass.

We'll see how long the pugs are able to keep their resolutions. I hope you have better luck with your resolutions.

Merriness

Henry

We had a very merry Christmas and enjoyed a few days off after the holiday. The pugs were very into Christmas this year. At least, they were interested in any presents that were edible. We got them a few stuffed toys, but they didn't pay any attention to those until all the treats has been opened.

Luna

Luna was into everything on Christmas morning. She was even peeking in Henry's stocking.

Luna

She was very happy to claim this peanut butter rawhide bone as her own.

Luna

We couldn't even keep Luna out of the trash. We threw away the top to a treat bag and after she ate her treats, Luna was digging through the discarded wrapping paper in hopes of finding more treats.

Benjamin

Benjamin was most interested in these pumpkin and raspberry bones given to him by G-Ma. He LOVED them!

Henry

Henry was very happy to find a bully stick tucked away in his stocking. Bully sticks are his favorite.

The pugs sure did rake in the treats and chewies on Christmas. They have a nice stockpile for the upcoming winter months.

Merry Christmas

Luna, Henry, Benjamin

Warmest Christmas wishes from Benjamin, Henry & Luna.

Also, OBP Reader Martha, worked very closely with Benjamin, Henry & Luna and put together this Christmas dance for everyone. I hope you enjoy.

On a side note, things are going to be crazy busy here in the OBP house for a bit, so I am going to take a few blogging days off. I will return on Thursday, December 30th and will let you know if Santa brought anything for the pugs and also let you know what New Year Resolutions Benjamin, Henry & Luna have come up with for 2011.

Have a safe and merry holiday!

Frosty

Luna, Henry, Benjamin

The pugs weren't quite as happy to pose with the snowman as they were to pose with the Christmas tree. It might be because they find having a snowman in Florida absurd. I agree, but I couldn't resist this guy when I saw him at the store.

O Christmas Tree

Benjamin, Henry, Luna

The stockings have been hung and the presents have been wrapped. All that is left is for the pugs to pose with the holiday decorations. grin

Festive

Henry

Last weekend, we finally got the house decorated and full of holiday cheer. Which means we have been able to relax and enjoy the decorations this week.

The pugs generally do a good job with the tree, although this year Henry keeps bumping into the lower branches and knocking off some of the lower ornaments. He is usually high tailing it to the door to bark at someone, so I think he is just distracted and not really paying attention.

Cupid likes to hide out under the tree and lucky for us she has no interest in climbing the tree or poking around in the branches.

Benjamin and Luna are pretty much oblivious to the big, fake tree now sitting in their living room. But, the stockings and Benjamin are a completely different story. We can't put any of Benjamin's Christmas treats in the stockings otherwise Benny will sit and whine at the stockings from now until Christmas morning.

Have a great weekend!

Turkeys

Benjamin and Henry

After the long Thanksgiving weekend, the boys took a nice rest on the couch. Because the holidays can be so exhausting for a pug. You know, looking cut all the time isn't easy.
