Here is little Luna's Swim Camp clip. She is by far the best swimmer out of the 3 pugs, but she is very nervous in the water. No under water clips of her swimming. If you go under water to get video of her swimming she doesn't know where to swim to!
Benjamin and Luna are very happy that their obligatory, yearly dip in the pool is complete. Now they don't have to worry about having to get in the pool until next year. I'm sure that makes Henry happy because that means more pool time for him.
Here is Benjamin's Swim Camp clip. Note the lack of enthusiasm on his part. He is all about swimming to the step hopping out of the pool and then running through the doggie door and back into the house so he can drip all over the rug. Paybacks
We held a mini swim camp last week and here is a short clip of Henry in action.
Henry really is the only pug that enjoys swim camp. Luna barely tolerates it and Benjamin absolutely hates it. Its a shame because it is such good exercise for the pugs when it it too hot for them to walk.
We held a mini swim camp over the weekend and as I was setting things up I started to feel like the pugs were small children.
First we have to dig out their life vests so they will be safe.
Then we have to get out all their pool toys so they have something to play with. And once all the pool toys are out, we have to watch them all fight for the same toy. I wouldn't know from first hand experience, but sounds like kids to me
Swim camp pics to hopefully follow later in the week!
Here is Benjamin finally settled in this dog bed. The crazy thing about this is that he scratched and settled eventually under the cushion of the bed. He is using the cushion as a blanket! Silly Benny! I guess this is the way he asks for us to turn the AC down.
A while back, I shared the Pet Care Update Sheet that I had created to keep us in tune with pugs (and Cupid) and what the care taker of the day had to say about the critters that day. Well, I am not sure if I remember mentioning that we made a whole bunch of copies and ended up binding it so that all the pages are in chronological order and altogether like a Pet Diary.
I know that I have shared comments that Auntie M has left about the way the pugs eat or special moments she captured. But I thought I would just take a couple blurbs from random days and give another little shout out to rotating "staff" that tend to the fab 3 pugs and their feline sister QP. Since this is OBP, I only shared commentary about the pugs this go 'round.
About Luna:
She ate slowly to torment her brothers.
Was very hungry today. Guess those steroids are kicking in.
She wanted me to lift her onto the bench in the back yard so that I could give her some lovin's.
She pooped twice this afternoon! Holy Moly!
About Benjamin:
He was a silly boy; wiggling on his back, showing his tummy! I called him my upside down fruitcake.
He was extra clingy today but eventually settled to sleep.
OMG! He pooped today more than I do!
He stared at me with his big brown eyes. I told him flirting would not get him extra food or treats, though. Sorry pug.
About Henry:
He was a perfect gentleman.
He just wanted to sunbathe.
He was a sleepy head today.
I had to take him out three times to poopy today. I finally took a treat with me to bribe him. Of course that worked.
Well, these are just a few highlights! Just wanted to share another public thank you to Auntie M, Grammy and Miss Doreen (she is the occasional care taker whereas Auntie M and Grammy are the standards). But we could not do it without each of them helping us to pull the weight of our household. Thanks again to you all! We love the comments you share, the photos you text and the time, love and energy you put forth in tending to our our pug babies.
