It is hard to believe that we adopted little Luna 3 years ago today. In some ways 3 years seems like a long time ago, but in other ways it seems like Luna has been with us for much longer than that. Since I first laid eyes on her, Luna has taught me a lot of things. The little lady has been with us for 1,096 days now and there hasn’t been one day that she hasn’t brought a smile to my face.
Here are a few of the more memorable Luna moments, in no particular order, that have been shared on the blog.
Well it sure didn’t take Sol long to become a spoiled little girl. Here she is begging for some of the chicken I am carving. It is pretty much a Sunday ritual. We get the rotisserie chicken from Sam’s club each Sunday and carve it and use it in some form for our lunches that week. Sol has been here for at least 3 Sundays when we do this and she knows what is coming. The girl is quite fond of chicken!
Great news! Belle’s big trip to Canada went very well on Saturday! Here are a few words from her new Mom posted on Pug Village.
Belle is home forever. We just arrived here about an hour ago, and Belle has eaten, strolled in the snow, and is sleeping beside me on the couch. It has been a very long, but wonderful day for all of us. Claudette was so nice, I think she is going to miss Belle a lot. Belle owes her, and Sarina, and everyone on Pugvillage, a great big thank-you. We will send lots of details tomorrow, and thanks again.
Joan, John and Belle
ps Our little Bella traveled with us to Spokane, and met her sister Belle, and kept her company all the way home
And later the next day, Belle weighed in with her thoughts on her new forever home:
So I have arrived!!! It is cold here, but the house is warm, and I had a good sleep last night, so feeling refreshed and ready for anything. Breakfast was good, but not near enough of it, so I barked and demanded more, and received a few treats in return. Good to know how that works…I will put it in my memory bank. There are lots of pugs here, and all bigger than me, so I am being called Peanut for now, as I have a sister named Bella already. Also, unbelievably there are some here that can’t walk either, and they have wheels! Apparently later today, I am going to be fitted for some of my own. I will send pics later today when it warms up. They keep different time here from Florida. So they were 3 hours late for breakfast, and evidently spring is going to be really late as well. But I like the snow, and as long as I am not out too long, it is quite fun. When I am ready to go back in, I just pull mum at full speed, and away we go!!!
Want to than each and every one of you who made this all possible. there are so many of you that kept track of me and prayed for me, and planned and donated for my trip. Particular thanks to the Ellzays, Sarina, and Claudette. These are the people I know by name, but it too so many more of you to literally save my life.
Have to go and snooze now, it seems to be snuggle time, and I don’t want to miss that! I will write later today, and send pics.
Love
Belle aka Peanut
Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. All the wonderful readers of OBP raised $440 to help Belle make the trip to her forever home! I have drawn the raffle winner and sent the lucky winner an email. As soon as I hear back from them I will announce the winner on the blog. Thanks again!
Hard to believe that we are coming up on the 3 year anniversary of Luna’s adoption. Things didn’t turn out to be quite as simple as I had originally posted, but I wouldn’t change a thing. I sure do love that spunky, little girl.
