Luna just barely meets the minimum height requirements to guard the house from the front door. It cracks me up when I see her sitting at the front door from the outside because all you can see is her little face peaking out the door. Luckily, she doesn't have to strain to see out. Sitting comfortably, she is just tall enough to see what is going on outside.

Happy Gotcha Day, Cupid! 14 years ago we sprung this mischievous kitty from the pound.
It might be Valentine's Day, hence the name Cupid, but don't let the sweet look of this picture fool you. Poor Henry has to share his favorite spot with Benjamin and Luna and now Cupid wants in on the action.
Cupid, has been laying on the sofa recently, but unlike Benjamin and Luna she isn't quite as willing to share. When she gets on the sofa, she lets Henry know which cushion he is allowed to use and if he so much as looks at her there will be consequences to pay. Poor Hank!

Confession: we eat dinner in front of the TV every night. Love it or hate it, its just how we roll and it works well for us. We don't use TV trays or anything fancy like that, we just sit on the floor and eat off the coffee table. Well, we aren't completely uncivilized, so we we sit on a pile of pillows while we eat.
Which makes dinnertime to Benny a compilation of his favorite things - food and pillows. So every night when I am bringing dinner to the table, I find Benny sitting in my "seat" just waiting for the food to be brought to him.

Since we adopted Luna she has always been a medical mystery to all the vets we have taken her to. She never seems to get a classic case of anything.
Recently, her breathing issues have been perplexing vets and specialists alike. For the most part she is stabilized, but her breathing for the last year or so has definitely been labored. The inhaler she has been on has been helping a bit, but it hasn't cured things 100%. She also gets a cough (more of a traditional trachea collapse cough) from time to time. She has been experiencing that for the last few weeks so we have been going to the vet trying to tweak her meds to give her some comfort. The odd thing though is that Luna doesn't cough when at the vet. There is nothing we can do to make her cough so that vet can hear what her cough sounds like. She just stand on the examination table, wagging her tail acting like she is completely fine. The first time this happened I was shocked. Mainly because she was coughing like crazy at home. The second time, I came with backup. I brought videos of Luna coughing just in case she acted like she was completely fine when we were there. Next time, we might have to do a video chat with the vet so he can see how Luna is at home.

Luna is not a morning pug. I despise mornings myself and sometimes I think she hates mornings even more than I do. And I never thought anyone could hate mornings more than I do. The funny part is all she has to do is get up to eat breakfast, go potty and then she gets to go back to sleep.
Lately, as a compromise and to appease her protest to mornings, we have just been making Luna into the bed. It works well since she is on the small side and we can easily slide the covers around even if she is laying on top. She seems to like this arrangement pretty well. Once she finally wakes up, she gives us a bark letting us know she is ready to go out to go potty and have her breakfast served.
The only problem with this schedule is that Benny thinks he gets another breakfast when Luna finally gets around to eating her breakfast. He seems to forget that he already ate his breakfast when we got up.
