Solsey’s Painting

Sol

Roberta, the winner of the Sol Painting raffle, sent along this picture last week letting me know the painting of Sol was delivered. Thanks, Roberta, for sharing the picture.

I hope everyone has a great weekend. We are expecting more gorgeous weather this weekend, so hopefully we will have time to take the pugs on some sort of outdoor adventure.

After spending a week on the kitchen table for all to see, Sol is now hanging in my office, where she greets me each morning!

The painting does look beautiful with the fall flowers. Of course, it would look beautiful anywhere.
Even above my fireplace on the mantel. HA

Roberta, I love that!!  As Solsey relaxed with mom in her office each day, she’s now in your office, perfect!

It was so nice of Roberta to let us see it in it’s new home!  Enjoy it!!

Is anybody going to DFW Pug Rescue’s Pugoween event this weekend?  Bennie and I would like to say hi if anyone else is there!

Aw Roberta, how fitting to have Sol’s portrait hanging in your office, since she spent a lot of time in her Mom’s office.  I know she is hanging there proudly.

Any updates on the puggers we have been praying for and sending good thoughts?

Have a great weekend.

Sue, Sure hope everything goes well with Abby. I will be praying for you and her. I just know you feel better having your old vet back. Martha, I wish I could go the the DFW Pug o Ween, but I have a brand new grandson that I must spoil tomorrow. Exactly where do you live in the Metroplex? We are about an hour away from Benbrook or Cleburne, kind of in the middle of nowhere. I am hoping maybe sometime I can get to one of their meet and greets.

Sue, I can “hear” the relief in your blog that your favorite vet is now near enough to take Abby.  From your previous blogs it was evident you didn’t have much confidence or even really liked the vet you were taking Abby to. May Abby’s visit Monday bring both of you much relief.  Hugs from me and my gang.  Sue VDB

P.S.  Please give us an update after Abby’s visit.  SVDB

I cannot see a picture of Sol without the tears rolling. Her picture in your office is a wonderful place!!! She can now visit with you all day as she did with her mom.

Please let us know what the vet says about Abby. Going to a vet you know and trust will help both of you.

Brenda,  Bennie and I are in Carrollton.  And I know where Cleburn is because my hubby was in a triathalon there two weeks ago.  Pretty area! See you another time at DFW Pugs : )

How about you, Sleighbelle?  I know you’re in North Texas somewhere, too.  Is anybody else around here?  Do I have any takers for Pugoween?

Solsey’s picture looks perfect with those sunflowers, etc.  It is so nice that you get to have her and cherish the portrait and Roberta, and you will put her in the place she would feel most at home.  Thank you for sharing.

Sue - Having a vet you had a good relationship and whose opinion is so important.  I’m glad Sue for the vet you have confidence in.  You do sound very at ease to have found her again.  We will all be anxious for the vet’s report.

Sue VDB - that is so funny about the Bulgian antics.  We have several Chinese eateries here and the servers don;t always speak English,  I sometimes get the feeling they could be talking about their customers and no one would know what they are saying.

That must have felt weird to have sisters so much older.  Did they try to mother you?

We need to have a “shout out” on Tues. for Grannygoogs 60th birthday - the BIG 60 smilewink

Enjoy your weekend, kids.  I do miss having Sat. and Sun OBP blogs so I guess I’ll go surfing on past blogs.

Grannygoogs, in case I don’t “tune in” on Tuesday, Happy, Happy birthday to you!  Not getting older, just better!

Sue VDB

Huckle, because my own fingernails are so very weak and fragile I have a full set and a fill every other week.  I go to a Vietnamese shop and they always speak Vietamese to each other.  I do get the feeling the customers are much talked about.

My sister Marge, was married in Michigan two months before I was born, and I only saw her when they came to Kansas City for a visit.  My sister Helen really tried to boss me around, and up until her death she was always trying to tell me what to do.  I got used to it and most of the time ignored it…no sense in arguing.

I’ve already got a sticky note on my computer to wish Grannygoogs a happy birthday.  I recently decided I need to keep sticky notes to remind me of all the happenings on OBP, because I think I will remember, and then I forget.  Sue VDB

Sue~ So happy you are getting back to your trusted vet. We LOVE ours and absolutely trust him. Will be thinking of you and Abby on Monday. Definitely give us an update.

Grannygoogs~Happy Birthday early! Doing anything special?

Corrine~just looking at old pictures and saw a lot of Sol and got very teary eyed. What a special girl. Then I saw the picture of your tattoo again and remembered how much I loved it. Not sure why I felt the need to tell you this, I guess just to let you know that I still think of Sol often. smile

Happy weekend everyone!

I’m with you Sue VDB about thinking you will remember and then forgetting.  It’s especially bad at night when I’m in bed, think of something and can’t see how I would EVER forget it in the morning and “yep” do.  Drives me wild (as if that’s the only thing!).

Gina - didn’t that little girl just tug at our heartstrings and we all felt it - her legacy.  And then we think what Corrine and her puggies have had to deal with over it and the pain increases.

Sue - anxiously awaiting report about Abby.
