Wintry Weather

Sol

You can file this under Things that Rarely Happen in FL. On Saturday morning we had a nice sleet/snow mix going on outside. Of course it didn't lay because the ground was still pretty warm, but it was still an odd sight to see the wintry weather here in FL.

Of course the pugs had to go out to go potty in the morning and they were quite surprised to hear the sleet and see the white stuff. It was funny to see the snow laying on the back of the pugs. It didn't photograph well on the fawns, but the snow showed pretty clearly on the back of Sol.

The only pug the snow didn't gather on was Luna. She ran out, did her business and then high tailed it right back into the house. That girl is from Miami. She doesn't do wintry weather.

If you're intersted, I have posted other, non pug related, wintry weather shots on Flickr.

Sol you are a little trooper all the way.  Ben and Henry probably wondered if they had moved back to Maryland.  Little Miss Luna I see wanted no part of this…good for her.

My three are in and out just as fast as they can do their business.  They want no part of all the snow on the ground, nor the cold that we have had.

All we can say is BRRR!
My mom in law called from NE yesterday and said it was -30 w/windchill….and then asked how the weather was in SoCal. I had to tell her that we were 100 degrees warmer! Hope you thaw out soon!

Ah sleet, we are all too familiar with that sight/sound in North Texas!  The crunch, crunch, crunch under little paws!  When we have a really bad sleet storm, I go out and crunch down a section of yard so Sleighbelle doesn’t have to do it for herself.  That could actually cut the paw pads…dirty, rotten sleet!!!

I finally had time to go through your wintry weather shots.  Being as we have a lot of snow all over and cold weather here in Kansas, that doesn’t look too bad…except it is in Florida and it’s not supposed to be that way.

Luna sounds like a smart girl.  We’ve had cold weather here in SC as well so we’ve stayed hunkered inside all weekend.  I think it got up to 40 today so Charlie and Angel did stay out for about an hour.  I caught a glimpse of Charlie thru the window sunning himself.  Carlie is like Luna - in and out only when she has to and fast as lightening then.

Living in Ohio my pugs know what snow is, but aren’t crazy about being in it. My youngest one is the only brave soul and will go in the deep stuff. When the door opens they almost mow me down getting back in the house.

I am getting used to the snow but I have altered my routine of pacing back and forth to do my number two business. It’s a hard habit to break. Woof! Bring on SPRING!

Poor pugs! What a shocker the snow must have been!

My boys love the snow (when it’s around 6 months of the year they don’t have much choice!), but then they’re not on the brainy side.  It’s easy to love snow when you’re not the one shovelling it.

Sol you are such a sweet hardy soul! Beauty will play in the snow if the sun is out-Daisey is a get it done type of gal. We had warm sunshine this last week-end and the girls “basked” in the sun-Beauty sat so she could get some rays on her pug-belly! Pug-hugs to all from the Colorado 3

Corrine, what’s “non pug related” mean?  I thought EVERYTHING was pug related!  LOL!!!

Our weather here is just damp, gray and cold.  I thought this was supposed to be sunny California!!  There’s, I think, 1 sun ray out right now…I’m tired of winter already and so are the puggies!
