Checkup

Luna

Luna had an eye checkup yesterday and received a very good report. Her eyes are holding steady, which for Luna is great news. The tear production in her bad eye was even up a bit from her last visit.

Not only did she get a great report, but she was a really good girl at her appointment. She got to meet a few dogs and she was a very good girl while having her eyes examined.

After the long car ride there, the excitement of the visit and then the long car ride back home, as soon as we got home, Luna plopped down in her puff pillow and sawed logs for the rest of the afternoon.

Happy St. Patty’s Day

Sol, Benjamin and Henry

For St. Patrick's Day, I decided to post one of my favorite St. Patty's photos from 2009. The original post explains that Luna is missing because she posed for this photo on the same day and exceeded the maximum number work hours allowed for a pug as per the Cute Union of which she is a card carrying member. Plus, we only had 3 bandanas.

I think the pugs' preferred way of celebrating today would be to eat something green. So, I am going to see if I can round them up any interesting green treats.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Oops!

Henry and Benjamin

Remember how I said the pugs were model doggie citizens when we went on our latest adventure? Well, I forgot about this little episode until I was looking at my pictures. The boys got a little fired up while crossing our first street. It looks like Henry is trying to run Benny off the road.

Puggy Road

Benjamin and Henry

To help make up for yesterday's lost hour, we decided to celebrate the extra daylight hour by taking the pugs on a Sunday drive and going for a little walk in a different neighborhood. Since the pugs had never been there before they were super excited and were high energy the whole time.

There were a few streets that we crossed on our walk and I just love the way the pugs always stayed in the cross walk. They are very good doggie citizens.

Reinforcement

Benjamin

The boys have this thing where if one of them barks, the other comes running as backup. Luna often joins them, but a lot of times she is busy and doesn't really care what her silly brothers are barking at. However, you can always count on the boys to go running if there hear the other one barking.

Yesterday morning, Henry heard a noise coming from the backyard area, so he bolted out the doggie door and off in the direction of the noise barking his head off. Benjamin, promptly sprung into action as well, although it was clear that he didn't hear anything. The only issue is that it was raining yesterday morning. So rather than bolt into the yard with his brother, Benjamin stood at the doggie door that leads outside and barked his head off. A win win in his eyes. He provided moral support for his bro, albeit from a distance, and stayed nice and dry inside the house.

Justified

Benjamin and Henry

See. This is why we need so many dog beds around here. The pugs need one dog bed for their body and one for their head. Plus, the cat's banana cat nip toy needs a place to rest too. grin
