Episode 3, Designer’s Best Friend, of Bravo’s hit series Project Runway features a pug. In this episode designers had to design an outfit for their model and a matching outfit for a dog. Designer Uli Herzner’s dog model was a pug and her design was the overall winner for the episode. You can see the pug strut his stuff on the runway here. (The pug is second to walk down the runway).

This news item isn’t pug related, but I think pug lovers will get a laugh out of Willy the cat’s devilish deeds. It seems Willy has a things for gardening gloves and he has snagged up to 9 pairs of gloves from his neighbors in Pelham, New York. You can find the complete story of Willy’s garden glove antics here.

There is nothing I like more than a cool pug design. A while back we set out to create a unique pug character made out of the letters “p-u-g-s” so there would be no confusion as to our favorite breed. I am extremely happy to announce that the Pugs Pug design is available on a variety of different items such as t-shirts, stickers and bibs in six different colors. Check out all the items in the OwnedByPugs store.

Pick your favorite and spell it out the world - you’re a pug lover!

I was in a gas station the other day when I noticed a rack of sunglasses that were called Pugs Eyewear. Since I have a fascination with pugs, I of course went over to check out the display. I snapped a picture of the sunglasses with my camera phone and when I got home I did a little more research. I was able to find the company’s website - Pugs Gear.
In the store I thought the logo looked a bit like a bulldog and when I went to the site I was surprised to see pictures of a bulldog. I looked for an about page to see if I could get more info, but I couldn’t find it. Who knows, maybe the bulldog’s name is “Pugs”.
Oh, by the way, the sunglasses are for humans.
