Looney Just Fall Out

Luna

When she plays, she plays hard. When she sleeps, she sleeps hard.

Instead of taking a picture, I really wish I would have taken a video because you should have heard her snoring.

I Spy

Benjamin

With the hot weather here in FL, the barking out the door business at all who pass has been kinda slow for the pugs. Usually, there is a steady stream of walkers, bikers and dogs in the evenings that pass by the house. But, most of the people usually out and about have been opting for cooler temperatures indoors. Which means the pugs have more time in between barks to rest their heads. And that is a very dangerous thing, because before you know it the barking has been replaced by snoring. And then, people are passing by the house without being barked at. Which leads the diehard walkers, willing to brave the insane humidity, to ask me when they see me out, "Where are those pugs?" And what can I say? "Uh...they fell asleep waiting for you."

Mellow Yellow

Luna

The other day, a metal piece of Luna's harness that is used to adjust the straps broke and the only thing we had on hand was one of Solsey's old harnesses. Solsey wore this harness for about a week when she first came to us. After a week, we quickly realized that should could afford the next size up.

It is weird seeing Luna in yellow instead of pink. Every time I look at her I have to do a double take.

2011 Calendar Contest

It's back! Believe it or not it is time to open up the 2011 Calendar Contest to submissions.

The submission process works the same as in previous years. You may submit as many pictures as you like, however we ask that you take a look through all your photos and only submit your best shots. Also, all submissions must abide by the contest terms and conditions.

A portion of the proceeds from calendar sales will be donated to pug rescue again this year. However, we have changed things up a bit. When a 2011 Calendar is purchased, $5 will be donated to any pug rescue group you wish from our pug rescue group list. Why do you have to pick from a list? The list gives us a chance to verify the 501c3 status of the organization. So, be sure to contact your favorite pug rescue group if you don't see them on the list and tell them to contact .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) by October 15, 2010 to get on our donation list.

Looking forward to seeing everyone's submissions!

I Guess She Doesn’t Like It

I gave Luna a small bite of cucumber and the video below shows what she thought of that. Also, my favorite part is how Ben swoops in at the end and eats the cucumber and then gives me a look that says, "What? That was a perfectly good piece of cucumber." I guess it falls under the 5 second rule for the floor, but it was in Luna's mouth for more than 5 seconds.

Lookout

Luna

The boys spend their afternoon gazing out the door from the couch, but little Luna prefers a front row seat. Starting around 4:30ish during the week you can find Luna peering out the door. To be able to see anything happening out on the street, I think she pretty much has to be right up on the door. She wouldn't be able to see too much from the couch.

What always cracks me up is that she is just tall enough to peer out from a sitting posting. From the outside all you see is this little head peaking out at you.

I hope everyone enjoys the weekend!

Uncanny

Benjamin

I know this isn't the greatest picture of Benny, but when I saw it it reminded me of a picture of baby elephant seal that I saw on The Guardian. They bear an uncanny resemblance if you ask me.

View Benny's long lost cousin.
