The pugs are usually pretty tired on Mondays, but today they are exhausted. They had the honor of entertaining Tebow, the four month old puppy, this weekend.
They played with him, shared their toys and bones and took him to their favorite park. Tebow loved going to the park and really enjoyed picking out toys and bones from the toy bin. He liked playing with the pugs too, but he thought they slept an awful lot.
I am quite proud of how well Benjamin, Henry & Luna did with Tebow this weekend. They were very patient with him and his boundless energy.
It has been fun having a bouncing puppy in the house again.
Say hello to Tebow! Tebow will be staying with us for the next few days. He arrived yesterday and by lunch he had already tired out Benjamin, Henry & Luna. Tebow is 4 months old and boy have I forgotten what it is like to have a puppy in the house. He is the sweetest little boy, but he sure does have boundless energy.
Sorry for missing yesterday's post. In all the excitement of Tebow's arrival I didn't have a chance to get something posted.
What I love about Luna is that if one of the boys are laying where she would like to lay, she will just stare at them. She won't go find another place to sleep, she just hovers around willing them to get up. If she could tap a toe on her paw while she waits, I'm sure she would be doing that too.
I am working on tagging all of the Pug Blog entries to make it easier to navigate the archives. At the bottom of each post you will now see "Filed Under:" with a series of tags that follow. If you click a tag you will see all entries that have been tagged with the keyword you clicked. Tags may be sparse at the moment as I need to manually go through and add tags to each post. Currently, I have 2.5% of entries tagged and with years of posts it is going to take me a while. But, hopefully, I should have all the keywords added after a few months. Even though I am still working on tagging the entries you can still use them to make your way through old posts.
Also, my apologizes to those that subscribe to the RSS feed. There were some issues as I made a few updates to the site. If you continue to see a lot of duplicate posts please send me an email (.(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)) and I will get it fixed as soon as I can.
Thank goodness Benjamin was not around when this incident took place, but here is a little video of Henry playing with Benjamin's Puffy. Benjamin has very strict rules for Puffy and Rule #1 is, "No one touches Puffy except for Benny. Rule #2 is "Puffy is not a toy and should not be used for play."
Henry must have suffered some sort of momentary lapse this weekend.
Yesterday, I began teaching the boys a new command and continued working with Luna on the down command. It is true that Luna has still not mastered the command, but she is getting so much better. She is quite a slow learner, but that is OK because I have time. Plus, I love seeing how proud of herself she gets when she knows exactly what to do.
For the boys, I thought I would teach them to stand. It's not really a show stopper, but I thought it might come in handy. Like when I am brushing Henry and he suddenly falls over and rolls on his back. If I could tell him to stand, I might actually be able to brush his whole body and not just his belly.
Regardless of whether or not I am teaching the pugs a new command, I love how a little bit of training or even just a refresher of the commands they already know tires the pugs out. Concentrating on a task sometimes tires them out as much as a trip to the dog park.
I hope everyone has a nice weekend. Don't think too hard!
