Happy 4th of July! And to our friends to the North a belated Happy Canada Day!
We had a fairly quiet holiday weekend. It is super hot here so we didn't do too much outside. But we did get a few games of chase in in the living room.
Since the 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays, I also wanted to share one of my favorite pictures commemorating today. I just love this shot of Benjamin, Henry, Luna and Sol. Oh, how I miss that little lady.
Where we live it is not illegal to shoot off fireworks. So many people put on their own little fireworks show. It drives me nuts and it makes the pugs even crazier. The one good thing about Sol and her deafness was that she was oblivious to it all!
Have a safe and happy 4th!

Just like the defense in the Casey Anthony Trial, the pugs rest.
Have a great weekend everyone! And for those in the US, I hope you have a restful holiday weekend!

We have had a lot of rainy days lately. To me, the rain is a welcome relief. But to Benjamin and Luna who hate to get their feet wet, the rain is the worst thing possible. And for Henry, the rain seems to slow things down in the potty department. The harder it is raining, the longer he will take to go potty. It is almost like he enjoys being out in the rain. So, needless to say, taking Henry out to go potty when it is raining is no fun. An umbrella is a necessity, even if it is just sprinkling.
So the theme of this week has been wet paws and cranky pugs. While the pugs hate the rain, the garden and lawn sure are liking it.

Further proof that Henry never sleeps alone. If Luna isn't snuggled up next to him, Benny sure is.
It was close to 90° when I snapped this picture, but Benny wasn't about to let the heat keep him from snuggling up to his brother.

Here in Central Florida there is a bit of a media storm over the Casey Anthony trial. The trial is broadcast during the day on all the major stations and is all over the news in the evening. With all the coverage the case has received in the last 3 years it is hard not to get sucked in. So, needless to say, we have been watching pretty much all of the trial on demand during the evenings after work.
The pugs always curl up on the sofa with us and watch. They got quite vocal during the testimony of one of the K9 officers. The officer gave a play by play of a video of his dog doing a search mission. The pugs got all fired up seeing the German Shepard on the television.
The best part is they humored us and acted like they had not seen that part of the trial before. But, the truth is that the pugs watch the trial twice each day. Grammy, and sometimes even Auntie M, has the trial on while she is pug sitting. The pugs intently watch the case unfold with Grammy and then happily watch it all again with us in the evening. These puggies are really up on their current events.
