One of the things I love about Henry's strut is his floppy feet. I have been meaning to get a video of him and his floppy feet for the longest time. The photo isn't as good as a video, but I think his floppiness comes through a bit in the picture.

On Sunday we celebrated Baby Benny's 9th birthday. As far as the pugs are concerned, it was pretty hot during the day, so we saved a nice walk for the evening.

For Benny's special birthday treat, I baked him Pug Bars. I got the recipe from Puglet of Daily Puglet. Puglet really seemed to love them and they had pumpkin in them so I knew that would be right up Ben's alley. Not only did Benny love them, but so did Henry & Luna.
Benny's first birthday rule was that if he had to wear a silly birthday hat, so did Luna and Henry or else he wasn't going to share his yummy Pug Bars.

And since it was Benny's special day, I let him take a big chomp out of the Pug Bars before I broke everyone off a little piece to enjoy.

All in all, I think Benny had a pretty good day.

On Sunday Baby Benny will turn 9 years old. It seems like only yesterday he was always racing around the house and eating my shoelaces.
In honor of Benny's birthday, I would like share a few of my favorite Benny blog moments.
I'm not exactly sure what we are going to do to celebrate Benny's special day, but I will be sure to tell you all about it on Monday.
Have a great weekend!

Wherever Benny goes puffy is sure to follow.
This is pretty much the scene every morning. Benny finds puffy and hunkers down on the couch. Whenever Benny is feeling content, like right after he eats, you can be sure that puffy will be with him.
Part of me can't believe that he still carries puffy around. Puffy was the first toy given to him by G-Ma almost 9 years ago. The fact that it is still intact is amazing!

While the pugs were helping us do yard work, the mailman drove past the house and true to the nature of the dog the pugs gave him the what for. I'm not exactly sure why the pugs have the need to bark at the mailman. Often times he brings them goodies in the mail. Apparently, the genetic makeup of dogs has not yet learned of the Internet and all the goodies that can delivered via the postal carrier. I'm sure dogs of the future will love the mailman and anxiously await his arrival. This will probably all happen right around the time dogs get opposable thumbs as well.

We have been doing a lot of yard work lately and since the weather has been so nice the pugs have been "helping" us.
So they can help and we can have our hands free, we use 15' leashes and hook them to a stake in the ground. We setup some towels and a bowl a water near the front door so that they can have shade when they want it but they can also get a little sun.
When we first go out into the yard, they start out full steam ahead, sitting in the sun. But, after about 15 minutes of watching us work they have retreated back to the shade.

By about the half hour mark, I even heard Benny snoring.
